Yesterday morning a major fire endangered about a million dollars in property as John L. Arnold's store room and adjacent goods suffered heavy damage. Georgia Educator Woofter Heads Alumni, Plans Move

Hikers to trek from YMCA for eight mile night out

City council approves playground funds and sewer plan details
The mayor and council discussed reducing the cotton buyers tax to fifty dollars and referred the issue to the finance committee. They approved playground grants for College Avenue, Baxter Street, Oconee Street, and Nantahaia Avenue schools, funded by the park fund. A street opening project from Hendrix Avenue to Pulaski Street was favored with a budget not to exceed 280 dollars.
