Death of traveling man D E Weathers at Booth boarding house
Mr D E Weathers, a traveling representative for Collier's publications, died Wednesday at five AM in the Booth boarding house on Hull Street. He suffered paralysis last week and later meningitis. Relatives were hard to locate, and a brother arrived only a day before his death.

Woodmen of the World Honor Deceased Brother D F E Weathers
The Woodmen of the World honored their brother D F E Weathers. His remains were carried to the Georgia railroad station at 4 pm and sent from Athens to Pringalls South Carolina. The aged mother and another brother joined the sick man’s brother. A Woodmen delegation accompanied the body to the station and sent a floral tribute.

Fly killer tragedy claims two year old in city home
Ruth Sanders aged about two at 179 Mitchell Street died after touching sugar on a new fly-killer device. The device, sold in town, resembles a large ink pad with holes and corks. A circular wire-net version was also in use, with sugar attracting flies. Her death follows hours of suffering. physicians attempted repeated hyperdermic treatments before her death. The body was to be sent to Appalachee then Madison by train at 7 am.
