Athens public schools prepare for a May festival from May 15 to May 22 featuring Redpath Chautauqua attractions. City Assessor Reports $390,000 Increase in City Real Estate
City assessors completed work on all real estate with a net rise of 350,078 over last year. They will remain at city hall for ten days to allow property owners to inspect assessments before changes close. Total real estate value stands at 5,978,128 with personal property near four million more, bringing taxable value near ten million. construction activity suggests a further half million rise in 1914.
