Mrs. Burton Smith of Atlanta starts a seven lecture series on Household Economics at Seney Stovall Chapel next week noon each day. The event, organized by Lucy Institute and the Athens Woman's Club, will benefit the East Athens Kindergarten with tickets at one dollar.
A public notice details a plan for a self‑supporting steam laundry owned by two hundred families at £50 each. After surveys of nearly thirty laundries, organizers say 135 families may join, with 200 required to fund equipment and running costs. A foreman and office staff are listed as main expenses, with a ten day stock subscription window at the Banner office.
The San Toy company arrives at the opera house with a large organization led by Jas T Powers as Li the Chinese. supporting cast includes George F Fortescue Margaret McKinney John Peachey and others. A 56 member chorus and special orchestra back the production with tickets sold at Palmer's drug store.

The chamber committee urges immediate subscriptions and vows to keep canvassing until full funding is secured.
Report indicates a meeting in Atlanta on May 21 where Fletcher Tuck was elected as delegate to the Atlanta convention.
Yesterday morning a fire department responded to a blaze in the residence of Prof H. W. Sanford on Prince Avenue. A young room occupant left a fire too high and a coal rolled causing the floor to burn back to the sleepers as flames spread upstairs.
