The State High School Association plans its next session in Athens in June with the Eighth district meeting in Elberton. Prof. Joseph S. Miss Lizzie Bailey Buried After Pellagra Death
Yesterday afternoon at 28 Lumpkin Street the funeral for Miss Lizzie Bailey was conducted by Rev. S R England pastor of Young Harris Memorial Methodist Church. She died Monday night from pellagra and is buried in Oconee cemetery, survived by a widowed mother two sisters and a brother. Pallbearers were Preston Arthur Otto Eberhart W R Dootson William Cobb and F H Taylor.

John Thornton Buried in Oconee County Cemetery
Yesterday the burial of John Thornton took place at the family burying ground in Oconee County. He collapsed Monday afternoon after a morning of work, his death attributed to a heart condition. He leaves a wife and several small children and was well known in Athens with many friends across the county.
