London reports British newspapers of all opinions focus on the German attitude to armistice terms. The Daily News Paris correspondent cites authoritative sources claiming Germany has halted demobilization and concentrated eight divisions under Von Hindenburg on the western front.

If denied the applicant has six days to appeal to the Supreme Court, which suspends all proceedings. Judge Cobb postponed the hearing to a future date and excused a juror for tomorrow if needed. Latins is charged with murders related to late Sheriff Cif D Barber and remains in Clarke county jail until the trial location is decided.
The Athens Baptist victory campaign opened at the YMCA with 70 workers reporting pledges totaling $1,218, including $788 cash, toward a $4,000 goal. The event featured Rev. John G. and detailed committee progress for ten men's teams and several women's units as canvassing expands.

Washington February 10 Administration leaders plan to seek help from the house rules committee to stop the naval expansion from being cut from the annual naval appropriation bill. Republican Leader Mann argued that authorizing ten battle ships and ten scout cruisers could not be properly included in an appropriation measure.
The Providence Journal will print a statement declaring that after consulting leading constitutional lawyers it believes Secretary Polk's proclamation of prohibition to be illegal. It argues the proclamation is void because at the time it was issued thirty six states had not ratified the amendment.

The action covers contracts with the building trades employer's association and involves about 250000 workers across masons plasterers bricklayers hoisting engineers elevator constructors softstone setters tile layers marble setters carpenters with potential sympathetic walkouts bringing total to around 300000.
