University surveying party returns from Tallulah Falls
The University of Georgia surveying party of civil engineers, led by Prof. Strahan and including Col. Mrs Mary Heard Dies After Illness at Athens Home
Mrs Mary C Heard widow of Rev Peter A Heard died at 7 am yesterday at Dr J A Hunnicutt's Milledge Ave home. She was 76, suffered paralysis, and will be buried in LaGrange after a funeral at Hunnicutt's residence. She was a lifelong Methodist and devoted to Lucy Cobb school and her husband. Friends from Atlanta and Athens recalled her Christian faith and kindness. Funeral was held yesterday afternoon with a large attendance.
