The fund for the widow and ten fatherless Dunaway children remains strong with daily contributions. Two more gifts were received yesterday, from a white man and a colored woman described as an old black mammy of the South. To date the total acknowledged donations amount to 1,049.50 dollars.
The funeral for Mr. J B Toomer of this city was held yesterday afternoon at 2 30 from his College Avenue residence with Rev E L HI of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. A large circle of friends attended. The casket was later carried to Charleston S C for interment this afternoon, the late Mr Toomer born in Georgia and a former resident of the boyhood home.

The educational train to be sent out was endorsed and the next session was set for January 17 and 18 in Athens to enlist all agricultural organizations in the farmer movement.
Atlanta December 14 1910 letter from Julian Harris responding to Mrs F K Freeman about a $7 donation from the children of Meigs Street to the Uncle Remus Memorial Association. He notes two trees named Joel Chandler Harris and Uncle Remus and asks gratitude be conveyed to the children and thanks to Mrs Freeman.
