A new hospital facility at the convict camp near Jefferson road treated a hurt convict after a rock fell in the quarry injuring Harper. Thomas Crumpton Again in Jail Hartwell Ga

Thomas Crumpton was jailed in Hart county on charges of shooting Virgil Mahoney s son. Mahoney went to Crumpton s house on an errand and Crumpton shot through the door, wounding him fatally. Crumpton had killed Joe Morrison at Lavonia in October and was released last week on a 750 dollar bond. Virgil Mahoney and Crumpton served together on Lavonia s police force.
