Funeral of Sheriff John W Wier at Presbyterian Church
The funeral for Sheriff John W. Wier was held Sunday at two o clock in the Presbyterian church, attended by a large crowd including prisoners in the jail who paid last respects. Veterans, city officials, and local lodges joined in tributes as clergy delivered a tender sermon from We Spend Our Years as a Tale That is Told, with interment at Wier burial ground.

McQueen Dies After Illness Following Injury at Moss Mfg
Yesterday morning a young white man from Hall county named McQueen died in the city after a brief illness with meninigitis. He had recently moved from Hall county to work at Moss Manufacturing and earlier lost a thumb in a machine accident. His life ended despite prompt medical attention. The funeral is set for three this afternoon at Dorsey and Funkenstein undertakers with interment at Oconee cemetery.

Dublin youth locates after disappearance in Georgia
Orrin G. Kelley of Dublin, who vanished after entering the University last October, has been found in Camilla, Georgia. He left a note claiming a trip to visit a brother in Vidalia and found work at a Camilla sawmill, without notifying his family.
