Rev A F Bishop Loses Church To Fire In Denron
Rev Arthur F Bishop, former Denron resident and former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, sees total destruction of the church edifice by fire last week. His library valued at 1500 dollars was destroyed, with no insurance on the library. The parsonage suffered heavy damage but Bishop’s losses there are insured. The church is to be rebuilt. An advertisement for DeWitt’s Witch Hazel Salve promotes its effectiveness for piles and related skin issues, warning against counterfeit versions.
