Boyd's Appeal Will Be Argued in Russell Ga
The motion for a new trial for Thad Boyd Jr sentenced to death for the murder of Henry Oliver is set for the 15th of the month in Russell Georgia. Judge Russell will hear arguments from Solicitor General Brand for the State and H S West and E K Lumpkin for the defendant. If denied the new trial the case will go to the supreme court. The death sentence remains suspended.

Boy Drowns After Jumping Into Boiling Bath
Derby special reports three year old James Sheehey and his younger brother were playing as their mother cooked in Sleten Connecticut. A quarrel led to the elder grabbing a boiling tub of water and jumping in, suffering fatal scalds that caused his death hours later. The mother held him then pulled him from the bath as the younger boy sobbed in distress. The tragedy occurred during the care of a nervous, weak child named James.
