Central of Georgia Announces Special Trains to Northeast Georgia Fair
The Central of Georgia railroad issues a 1903 streamer for special trains between Machen and Athens during the Northeast Georgia Fair October 5–10. Returning trains depart Athens at 6:00 PM Central time. Round trip tickets sell from Macon Milledgeville Covington Whitehall and intermediates October 3–9 with final return October 12 at one fare plus 25 cents. half fare for children 5–12. The fair features farm products poultry stock needlework culinary contests daily racing and free balloon ascensions and parachute leaps.
