Noted youth punished for insulting young girl on train
P. M. Maxey a young man from Oglethorpe county received six months in the stockade without pay a fine for insulting Miss Belle Owens on a Georgia train Saturday night. He faced arrest after persistent flirtatious remarks and attempts to sit beside her despite her protests. The mayor lamented the strictness of the law but proceeded with the sentence.
