In county results at 4 am the tally shows C Brown lead with O H Arnold close behind and J F Rhodes third. About 200 votes remain to be counted and the winners likely come from Brown Arnold Rhodes with Rhailes uncertainty. The totals so far list Brown 604 Arnold 567 Rhodes 551 Rowe 497 Gordon 430.
Georgia voters gave Senator Hoke Smith a landslide win, carrying most counties. Governor race appears decided between Nat Harris and L G Hardman, with Anderson third. results suggest a convention for final settlement. Other statewide races favored incumbents including Slaton Hardwick Felder and Wright. Vinson Wise and Hughes Walker Edwards reelected.
Atlanta reports Hoke Smith defeated Jos M Brown for the long term senate by a large margin across hundreds of counties. In the short term race Hardwick led with Slaton close behind. Harris held the gubernatorial nomination by fifteen convention votes. complete figures awaited.
