State Horticultural Society In Session In Athens
The State Horticultural Society met in annual session in Athens yesterday morning with about one hundred delegates attending. The day opened with prayer by Rev. J. W. M. Morris and welcomes from Major G. M. Ryals and Dean Sylvanus Morris. Col. O. Wade urged agriculture education in Georgia schools as Mr. Willet spoke on the seed growing industry. Afternoon sessions featured papers on irrigation, culture in Georgia, and fig growing by Prof. H. W. Starnes. The exhibit includes 160 fruit varieties from the Experiment Station and notable displays from Pres. Berckmans. The society plans further sessions today before adjourning.

Able Sermon By Dr Hopkins At First Methodist Church
