Bicyclists Headed from Athens to Atlanta on Road Route

State University seeks funds for Athens Carnegie Library

Yesterday noon at the administrator's sale Mr. O. W. Abney bought the vacant lot of the Neavett estate on Prince avenue. The 85 by 300 foot parcel near the home place of C. D. Flanegan and Mrs. Quillian sold for 4875 dollars, nearly five thousand.

Chapter Verses Read At E Watson Funeral
E Watson aged about 60 died yesterday near ten oclock at 1476 East Broad Street. She selected the twelfth of Paul's epistle to the Hebrews and the funeral will be held at the old family burying ground in Oglethorpe County after twelve. Interment leaves this morning at seven for the old home. She had been twice married to Mr Butler then Mr Watson. Surviving children include J F Butler Athens W F Butler Florida W T Butler Atlanta G J Butler Athens A J Watson and E R Watson Athens. The service will include the reading of Hebrews twelve about looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Secretary A W Brooks of the Athens Chamber of Commerce told the county roads and revenues board that Athens and Clarke county should join in statewide advertising for the Chicago Land and Irrigation Exposition to be held in November.
