Insurance Revision Committee to Meet
The joint commission appointed last summer by the Georgia legislature to revise fire life and miscellaneous insurance laws will meet in the senate chamber at the capitol at 10 am next Monday. Senators Copeland Mayson and Adams and Representatives Gower Hardeman Chandler Harrell of Stewart and Scott compose the committee with Gower as chairman. Presbytery Adjourns After Successful Spring Meeting
Rev. E L Hill and Rev J D McPhail led representatives from the city churches at the Athens Presbytery spring meeting in Elberton. The session adjourned after a record convention with 15 preachers and 30 elders reporting gains across churches. Dr Hill chaired home missions with record local contributions. Fall session to meet in Comer on the Tuesday after the fourth Sunday in September.

University cadets depart for Augusta camping trip
The University of Georgia cadet corps, about 50 strong, leaves at 9 30 this morning for a week in Augusta with Major Sanford in charge and Chancellor Barrow accompanying them to ensure smooth operations.
