Italian John Indon was fined 200 dollars for disorderly conduct by the mayor after a police case in court. He shouted and then convulsed, writhing as officers carried him out. He faced charges of beating his 14 year old bride and attempting to assault his grandmother in law who fired a pistol in defense. The mayor lamented the city code prevents a life sentence and noted the fine or six months in the city gang. Indon had previously been jailed in Elbert county but escaped penalties there.
