Sanders Kenny Joe Brooks Ed Strickland and Russ Strickland, all colored, were arrested for burglarizing F. H. Dorsey store or receiving stolen goods. Burglary occurred about two months ago. Police recovered four suits, a suitcase, and a hat last week with more items still missing. Authorities believe Kenny entered, Brooks aided, and the Stricklands concealed items.
Joe Lankford of Hart County was arraigned on selling whiskey in violation of federal law. He claimed doctors ordered him to bathe a severely injured floor with salt water and whiskey. the judge believed him and the case was dismissed at preliminary trial.
