The city decorates for the Spring Festival and biennial convention of the Woodmen of the World. Big flags and national colors adorn business districts as crowds from across Georgia and nearby areas prepare to converge. Merchants showcase festival displays while Athens readies to welcome attendees.

London reports a $20,000 purse for a proposed match between Jesse Willard and Frank Moran of Pittsburg. Moran defeated Bom Bardier Wells in London while Willard would receive $1,000 traveling expenses. Johnson beat Moran on points last year in Paris.
