The twentieth annual Georgia Division Daughters of the American Revolution conference opened at eleven in the morning in Athens at the Y M C A questroom. Mrs Julius Talmadge presided as regent with Dr Eugene L Hill delivering the invocation. Delegates pledged to defend Old Glory and support war efforts, while Athens officials extended hospitality and greetings from the Elijah Clarke Chapter. Mayor Erwin welcomed the visitors and Laura Rutherford D A R offered remarks. Continued on Page Three.
