Ordinary's Office Aborts for March in Athens

The ordinary's office reports March data with marriage licenses by race and licensees for concealed pistols, and a drop in alcohol prescriptions. Fewer white licenses issued than February and January. colored licenses total 50 for March and year to date 81. Two pistol licenses issued for March. one colored man and one Athens professional man. Alcohol prescriptions plummet to 27 with Palmer's as the sole supplier. physicians listed include Proctor Benedict Hall Carton and others. Special business registrations show 90 firms listed. 200 still not registered. One lunacy case scheduled for April 10 involving Warnie Durham.

Flatau will contest date set for April 20

The Flatau will contest case has a trial date fixed for April 20. The wife, formerly Mrs. Potts of Athens Georgia, faces charges in the petitions accusing her of leaving her husband after marriage and seeking his Florida property. At his death Flatau was valued at about 30000 to 60000 dollars, with the will leaving nothing to his Athens wife, who runs a boarding house.

Additions to Stockade to Expand Athens Facility

Work began yesterday on an addition to the Athens stockade building using the same concrete material as the original. The improvement, built to house convicts fed at seven cents per day instead of forty, will finish in about 90 days, making Athens one of the best equipped stockades in the state and yielding savings in feeding prisoners.

Woman Refuses Prosecution In Slaying Case

Mary Lou Warren was tried for disorderly conduct and fined by the mayor after a Saturday night incident in which 15 year old Will Collins was struck by a brick and killed.
