Son Killed Father In Accidental Rifle Tragedy
An Iowa doctor Dr J B Irvine age 58 was killed at his home near Albany when his son unknowingly pulled a burlap from a grain trough where a rifle rested, the bullet entering his chest. Irvine had long practiced medicine and surgery in the area, leaving a wife and five children, with one daughter married. A second item notes Milton Odd Fellows' building progress, with plans describe a 90 by 60 foot brick and wood structure, steam heated and lodge rooms, to house a bank on the ground floor. A barber incident followed where two men sat for shaving, Wright shaved both in alternating strokes, leaving both pleased with the service.

William Goodman passes away in Walla Walla
Obituary notes William Goodman of Walla Walla died of heart failure. Born June 2, 1844, in Alivors, he moved west with guardians at six, ranching near Hudson Bay, later relocating to Walla Walla with his family. Survived by a son and daughter, funeral by Washington Camp I.O.O.F. at the nearby ranch Monday. Also lists Pendleton grand jury members and local notes on liquor indictments, plus endorsements of Bucklen's Arnica and a barber chair feat in Milton.
