J N Burgess, Republican nominee for Umatilla County state senator, pledges full support to Direct Primary Laws and to Statement Number 1 as required by state statute. He says his stance reflects citizen belief in direct election of U S senators and the electorate’s demand that all candidates and parties honor the public will at the polls.
