Bank Cashiers Are Short Its Prescott Shortage Grows
The State Bank of Prescott faces a growing shortage now estimated at 26000 with possible increases after examiners review. Former cashier Ki B Sweet and P N Hurtig are jailed on larceny by embezzlement charges. Sweet posted 4500 bond while Harris faces further charges. Peaches From Gerking Flat Delivered to City Office
A box of peaches was left at the office Saturday by 8.8 Pars, grown without irrigation by Mr. Parris at Gerking Flat near Grand View station. The city rock crusher resumes work on the quarry below town and street repairs started Tuesday, with Main Street trucks to be graded and other repairs ordered by the city.

Pendleton Sufers Seventh Fire At W B Byers Plant
Pendleton suffered its seventh fire in a short period as W B Byers barn and barley warehouse burned Monday night causing about 18000 dollars in damage. The blaze started in the barn and spread to the barley warehouse threatening the mill. most equipment survived but 8000 sacks of barley and other machinery were lost. Byers suspects arson and believes someone tried to burn him out. The event recalls a mill fire ten years ago that remains infamous in Pendleton.
