A large Monday night crowd attended Miller's Furniture opening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Athena residents mingled with guests from Helix Adams Weston and surrounding areas. About 200 ladies received invitations and a souvenir thermometer. Johnson's orchestra provided music as patrons toured the extensive stock.
Oregon legislators T J Kirk and Dr A W Botkin returned from Pendleton after attending the Oregon State Litigation convention where Ontario was chosen as the 1905 meeting site. Officers elected include President H A Devers Portland First vice president Will R King Ontario Second vice president Mr Carbine Union Treasurer W T Wright Union Secretary E P Dodd Pendleton Assistant secretary O Hunt Ontario.
