The Athena High School graduation took place Monday evening in the Christian church auditorium with 8:30 pm start. Principal Homer I Watts praised the students’ year’s work as Maurice Hill spoke on International Arbitration and Cecile Boyd read an Edgar Allan Poe essay. The Pinkerton Orchestra accompanied entries by Kitty Gholson and the McIntyre sisters, with diplomas presented afterward and a benediction.
