Lois McIntyre and James Rice married at the Christian church parsonage in Walla Walla last Sunday morning. The bride wore a pink and blue ensemble and pink roses, with Dr. and Mrs. W G Cowan as attendants. A wedding breakfast followed at the Marcus Whitman hotel. Mrs. Rice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex McIntyre, studied at local schools and larger universities. Mr. Rice, son of G M Rice of Pendleton, is a Beta Theta Pi graduate from Oregon State College and works for Standard Oil in Ontario. The couple will reside after a trip to Portland and Seattle.

The Farmers' National Warehouse Corp received a permit for a 6000 dollar wheat warehouse in Walla Walla to store 125000 bushels. Construction began Monday. A M Applegdia, manager of the Walla Walla unit of North Pacific Grain Growers Inc, obtained the permit. Three warehouses have been leased from Pacific Coast Elevator Co. Class Day Program At High School Features Kidlike Skit
The 1931 graduating class staged a clever program in the high school auditorium on Wednesday afternoon. Wide gates opened to reveal an old fashioned school room with class members as pupils and Miss Vineta Weaver as teacher. Barefoot boys and beribboned girls sang old songs and answered questions in a playful, traditional manner. The class prophesy and will were read, adding to the humor, as parents, friends, and faculty watched the event.

The Pilot Rock Record, after 28 years of service, suspended publication for lack of patrons. Publisher A. R. McCall relocated the plant to Wasco in Sherman County where he bought the local paper.

The May heat wave moved through Athena on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures lower in Athena than elsewhere in Oregon. Thermometers showed 88 on Monday and 96 on Tuesday in Athena, while Pendleton reached 101.

McClees Named Game Supervisor For This State
Charles H. McClees was named temporary state game supervisor to start work Wednesday at 3000 dollars a year. He has been district game warden for the east of the Cascade Mountains since 1990 and previously deputy warden in Malheur and Coos counties for eight years. The commission re employed trout hatcheries staff with a 10 percent salary cut and announced resignations of two deputy wardens effective Tuesday. Art M. Fish was named district warden in charge of McClees’s previous district at 185 dollars a month to assist. McClees is a Spanish American and World War veteran, about 50, and has lived in Ontario Oregon recently after origins in Walla Walla Washington.
