Prof Lapham of Whitman college gave the address and musical numbers by the glee club and mixed quartet delighted the audience. Pendleton Man Ends Life in Despair Near City Outskirts
Will H. Isaac, 51, Pendleton resident and son of the late Captain Isaac a Helix pioneer, killed himself by drinking carbolic acid Monday. Despondent for days he left a wife and three minor children in Pendleton. His body was found near a fence Tuesday morning by a local youth who alerted authorities.
