Death of James Scrivner of Athena

James H. Scrivner known to Athena residents died at Creswell Oregon on February 27 1907 aged 66 years 40 days from a paralytic stroke He was born October 7 1840 in Keatonville Missouri and lived in Athena fourteen years prior to moving His funeral was held February 25 conducted by Rev RG Calligon with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery The Creswell Odd Fellows conducted the graveside rites He leaves a widow two sons a brother and five sisters The brother J W Scrivner of Heppner and several sisters in Oregon California and Harrisburg Also mentions a Helix mill and dray business venture and several advertisements.
