Tragic Pendleton Murder Suicide Crushes Family

Thomas C. White shot his wife and child’s rescuer then killed himself near Pendleton. The incident followed a divorce case and restraining order served that evening. White pursued Mrs White and child, wounded her, and then died by self-inflicted gunshot near the road.

Japan Expands Dairy Industry Amid Imported Machinery Rush

Sixty dairy cows will be shipped to Yokohama aboard the Aragonia from Portland on July 21, with freight at 620 per head. Japanese buyers also push sewing machines in thousands of tons and purchase various machinery as they prepare to scale dairy farming.
