At Spokane the Eastern Washington Highway Association adopted resolutions calling for equal division of federal highway aid between eastern and western Washington counties and favoring completion of the present rate highway program before new projects. Mystery of Lucy Small Deepens in Walla Walla
Lucy Small an 18 year old girl from Walla Walla again reappears after a nocturnal episode. Police are puzzled by her presence in a vacant house at 1 am nakedly unsettled, with clothing torn and stockings down. Three weeks earlier she was found along Milton highway bruised and disoriented. Her father J M Small notified police after four hours. Physicians saw no molestation and suggested a possible vehicle strike.

Mrs Z W Lockwood of Athena died at her home on December 13 1926 aged 68 years 11 months 10 days after a prolonged illness. Survived by husband two daughters Miss May Lockwood and Z E Lockwood a son, mother, brother and two grandchildren. Funeral at the Christian church at two oclock Wednesday conducted by Pastor Phillips. Ledora Shick born January 8 1858 in Monona born area and married Zephinia Lockwood February 1 1880.
