Auto smash near Athena injures Whitehouse family and companion

G. W. Whitehouse his wife their young son and Miss Paul of Walla Walla were in an automobile near the Reeder place outside Athena Tuesday forenoon when a wheel stuck in a rut. The vehicle overturned spilling all occupants in a rough rollover.

Tragic Train Runover Victim at Umatilla Yard

Jesse Pound, while checking cars in the Umatilla yards Saturday night, was struck by a train. He endured eight hours before dying early Sunday, his body severely mangled. Mia Carmichael appeared to challenge a notice of revenge that named her without consent, per local authority.
