Athena Citizen Recovers From Second Paralytic Stroke

J. B. Hiteman, a respected Athena resident, suffered a slight paralytic stroke Sunday afternoon while downtown on Main street near Barrett Hardware. He rallied with left-side weakness and facial numbness, received care from Art Shick and Dr. Plamondon, and was brought home. doctors say the current stroke is not more severe than the last two years ago, with partial recovery progress evident as he can speak and move parts of his left side.

Basketball Injurious to School Girls and Colfax Players

Paul Pattison of Colfax, Whitman county attorney, cites that nearly all members of the Colfax Wolvax team have undergone operations and that Cheney girls also had multiple surgeries. Dr A E Shulet says basketball is injurious to women and should not be played.
