Water prospect improves for Athena reservoir and springs
Mayor Taylor and council members visited Gallaher springs on Wednesday to inspect a potential ten inch flow to a new Athena water supply. Foreman Shultz and crew cleared several hundred feet of ditch in two and a half days, with underground flow sustaining water into the ditch. The plan would extend laterals across hills to create a higher pressure reservoir and meet city needs for years. West Side to Get Electric Lights on Hunt Avenue
