U. S. record to Charles Terry lifelong Atchison dealer honored
Charles Terry, Atchison resident and long time traveling salesman, was named the oldest in his field by the National Traveling Salesman's foundation. He will attend a December banquet in New York and later help launch a $3 million home for aging salesmen near Winston-Salem. Terry, born 1836 in England, witnessed Lincoln Douglass debates and Armstrong trial, served in the Civil War, and settled in Atchison in 1870.
