Well Known South of Town Man Dies
Harry J. Dugan 48, a south of town farmer, died at 8 20 last evening in Atchison hospital from a throat cancer infection after a four year illness. Born 1880 on his farm, he was the son of Mrs. Jennie Dugan and the late Lincoln Dugan. He lived in Atchison, Kansas City, and later moved to the rural south of town seven years ago with his wife, whom he married fifteen years ago in Kansas City. He leaves his wife, his mother, and three sisters, Mrs. Rex Klentsche and Mrs. J W Lothridge in Kansas City, and Mrs. John Messenger in El Dorado, Ark. The rosary is at 8:30 pm at Harcuff funeral chapel. The body goes to 1029 Calvin St., Kansas City, Kan., to lie in state until the funeral Monday at 9 am in St. Thomas church.

Mrs. Sarah Tuttle Ferris a Kansas resident since 1887 died at her Effingham home at 8:30 this morning after a 10 day illness and a stroke last Tuesday She was born February 8 1858 in Monroe County New York and married Charles V Ferris November 9 1870 They had two children Walter and Nellie both died earlier The Ferris family moved to Effingham then Atchison and back to Effingham She was active in the Presbyterian church Surviving include her husband a daughter-in-law two grandchildren a sister and two brothers Funeral at 230 Sunday at the Effingham home with Rev Ernest Brown Evergreen Cemetery burial in charge of George Harcuff and services by the Effingham Presbyterian Church
