Young Baptists Gather for Missouri River Y P U Rally

The Missouri River association of the B Y P U opened a two day conference at the Baptist church with Rev W O Shank urging the youth to concentrate on one subject and follow a spiritual path. Delegates from nearby towns heard talks by Pearce Craig Moser and others. A sunrise service and banquet were planned with activities continuing tomorrow at Jackson park.

FIGHT ELEVATED TO PRIESTHOOD

Eight young men were elevated to Roman Catholic priesthood in St Benedicts church by Bishop Francis Johannes. Three are from St Benedicts monastery, with five secular priests entering various dioceses. First masses to be said tomorrow.
