Record prices at Sholz sale near Lancaster
The Sholz purebred shorthorns sale northwest of Lancaster drew about 1000 people as stockmen bid strong. Two cows sold for 325 dollars, a bull calf for 280, others 200 to 240, with many head over 100. Some stock sold at about 35 cents a pound live, all registered and bought by breeders from various locales. The Methodist Ladies cleared 82 dollars from lunch.
