Mrs. Seneca Heath of Effingham died at her home. Born November 9, 1843 in Canterbury Ohio, she moved to Indiana as a girl and later to Kansas. Her husband Seneca Heath practiced law in Muscotah Atchison and other towns before she settled in Effingham in 1914. Funeral at Effingham residence with burial in Muscotah.

William M. Hedge born 1848 in Illinois died January 27 1928 at his Whiting home after a long life of farming grain banking and business. He led the Whiting State Bank and Hedge and Brown Lumber Co and leaves a wife two sons and two daughters. Burial was at Spring Hill cemetery.

C. I. Moyer of Severance topped the Chicago cattle market Monday with an average $16 and cattle weighing about 1,450 pounds. The cattle were shipped from Canada and fed by Moyer in three car loads, with another shipment feeding.
