Two Charged in Lassen Death in California County

Louis Lassen aged 18 died in a November 28 motor crash when John Flattre and H M Jahne of Lancaster allegedly collided with his car. County Attorney Maurice P. O Keefe filed three informations two manslaughter counts. none arrested yet. Coroners jury faulted Flattre for careless driving. witnesses said drinking. Inquisition prompted charges.

Mrs Emma Haegelin Dies Atchison Pioneer 80

Death this morning claimed Mrs Emma Haegelin 80 well known Atchison pioneer and widow of Joseph Haegelin prominent brewer here years ago. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9 30 a m from Sacred Heart church conducted by Father Isadore. The rosary will be recited at the Anderson home Sunday afternoon at 4 p m. Burial in Mt Vernon cemetery beside her husband.

Death of Benjamin F. Sanders 95 Remembered in Pardee

Obituary notes Atchison county mourns the death of Benjamin Franklin Sanders at Pardee at 95. Born August 8, 1833 in Missouri, he lived 72 years in Pardee and recalled early work as a sheep shearer. Addition contract approved for Atchison Co High School

The Atchison community high school board voted to accept revised bids within the $90,000 limit for a general contract and electric wiring for a new school addition. L. K. Bowers & Sons, Topeka, will do the general work and A. Tucker, Topeka, the wiring. plumbing and heating bids are not yet let.
