Ashton Public School to Open with Record Attendance
The Ashton Public School will open on Monday September 6 with the largest expected enrollment in its history. The high school will record about 22 seniors, the biggest class ever, while freshmen total around 18. Cleaning and water piping upgrades are completed and Prof O A Fackler reports the building ready for a successful year.

Sixty mile outing by six automobiles carried 27 Methodist Sunday school boys from Ashton through Franklin Grove Dixon Grand Detour Castle Rock Oregon and Black Hawk statue to Ganymede springs. A picnic lunch was served by teachers Mrs Knapp Mrs Wisman and Miss Estella Krog. They returned to Ashton before sunset amid ideal weather and learning stops along the route.
