Mrs Helen Dugdale, longtime Lafayette township resident, died at 83 in Chana. Born June 26 1833 in Dansville NY she moved to Ogle County in 1833 and married Charles Dugdale in 1848. Survived by four children six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. services yesterday at Washington Grove Christian Church with Rev Connors. Interment in the Grove cemetery.

Rochelle School for Deaf Adopts Articulation Method
Rochelle opens the school year with eight pupils under Miss Marion Stubbs, trained in Aurora and a top teacher program. Seven pupils reside in Rochelle, one commutes from Oregon, and a partially hearing student learns speech through articulation to lip read and speak clearly.
