Reverend Brewer to Tour Asia on Educational Mission
Dr Frank S Brewer dean of the Talladega College theological department has won a mission tour to Japan and China. He and his wife depart Talladega December 20 for San Francisco and sail December 8 aboard the Shinoya Maru from Japan. He will visit mission colleges and seminaries to study training of native ministry and union missionary efforts, likely extending six months.

Mrs. Mary Magdalena Spealman died November 16 1916 at the Sanatorium Watertown Illinois of paralysis of the brain. Born January 3 1873 in Bradford Township Lee County she was 43 years 10 months 13 days. She leaves daughter Virginia mother sister two brothers and many relatives. Funeral services November 18 1916 at Ashton United Evangelical Church conducted by Rev J G Eller. Interment in Ashton cemetery.
