Florence Lowden eldest daughter of Governor elect Frank Lowden will run part of the capital household to showcase domestic science training. She learned cooking at Westover school Middlebury Connecticut where she earned three gold medals. She plans to study agriculture at the University of Illinois and may rent a Jersey dairy on her family's farms. News from Elberon New Jersey and New York precedes her move to Springfield.

Golden Wedding Celebration for Franklin Grove Couple
Yesterday Franklin Grove honored Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Farver on their 50th wedding anniversary. The 71 year old couple, who moved from Bloomsburg Pennsylvania in 1876, hosted 7 children 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren at the Farver home decorated in gold and white chrysanthemums. Families and friends gathered for a joyful reunion as the couple extended wishes for good health and many more anniversaries.

Mrs Martha Sandrock Dies After Long Illness
Martha Sandrock nee Walter born 1860 in Reichensachsen Germany died at 56 after a long rheumatic illness. She immigrated to Lee County as a child, married George Sandrock in 1884, had four living children Annie Mary Clara George, and funeral services were at St John Lath érap Church with interment in Ashton cemetery. Her husband preceded her earlier this year.
