Former Resident Albert Reed Dies in Bladen Nebraska
Albert F. Reed a brother of Gilbert Reed and Mrs. S. D. Clark died suddenly at his home in Bladen Nebraska at age 71. He was born July 10 1840 in Vigo County Indiana and moved with his family to Bladen in 1878. Funeral held at M E church with burial at Plainview. He leaves Harriet Steele wife five sons three daughters four brothers and three sisters.

The Modern Woodmen of America committee on rate revision begins work to prepare a report for the head camp meeting in Chicago January 2. It will study mortality expense rates and fraternal experience to determine changes under the new uniform law. The executive council says current rates cannot cover obligations and revision is imperative.
