Tri County Woodmen Picnic plans announced at Central Park
At the last meeting of the Tri County Woodmen Picnic association the committee inaugurated plans for a big picnic at Central Park for the Woodmen camps of Lee Whiteside and Ogle counties. The event will occur before the Dixon Assembly and feature balloon ascension ball games between the top local teams and invitations for Woodmen head officers. The aim is to make it one of the largest picnics in the area.

Dixon youth wins gold at Lee County WCTU contest
A large crowd filled the Methodist church as five contestants competed for the gold medal at the Lee County Women's Christian Temperance Union institute. Rissner of Dixon won, with W J Hoschener speak on Anarchy and the Saloon before illness interrupted his finale. Augusta Williams of Dixon spoke on Political Parade, weaving sermon and commentary on national parties.
