Memorial day events in Ashton include a 1:30 p.m. gathering at the town hall for veterans of Civil War World War I World War II and Boy Scouts. A Lafayette Band concert at Lincoln Way Evans Avenue will precede a procession to the school for an program with prayers readings the roll of honor and an address titled The Fighting Parson. After the school program the line of march will return to the park and cemetery services with prayer and graveside decorations.
