At Miss Evelyn McCrea's house a German themed junior reception for the seniors delighted guests with German invitations, speeches by Prof. B A Streeter and Miss Louisa Pringle, games, music, and a two course lunch. The Freshman party followed at Miss Gladys Wagner’s with music, games, ice cream, cake, and candies. The Sophomores, at Miss Lucile Randall's, staged a playful gathering with a rhymed ode and a hilltop scramble tea, ending as the wind blew the guests home.

Sunday School Convention At Ashton Township
The annual Sunday school convention in Ashton township drew large crowds across three sessions. In the morning at the Presbyterian church a sermon addressed a great problem in Sunday school work. Afternoon meetings at United Evangelical Church drew many attendees despite heavy rain. County President C. C. Hintz spoke, followed by Rev. F. Theiss. Evening sessions at the Methodist church featured Rev. W. K. Loofbourrow on Our Text Book and E. J. Yenerich on The Adult Class Movement. Temperance talk by Rev. G. A. Walter replaced Rev. Nazarene. Offi cers Rev. G. A. Walter president and A. M. Moore secretary were reelected. Collections totaled 9.00 with 2.56 expenses, leaving a 0.44 balance to county funds. Tomorrow evening rural school graduations will be held at Harck, Wellman, Eisenberg, and Weishaar districts.
